Can you believe that this kind of architecture is in the heart of San Francisco? It looks like something from a postcard! Really happy with how this photo turned out :)

Poetic Response to "The Metaphor" By Budge Wilson
Dear Ms. Hancock,
You were the thunderstorm,
That churned through my grey summer sky
Proudly shattering the dull decorous
Of my vicissitudinous life
You never stopped believing
Even when we were lost
Among the jungles of growth
You knew that a rainbow will always be there
At the end of any road
If I had one last chance
To right my wrongs
To make amends
I would like to simply say
Thank you, for everything you gave
You were the thunderstorm,
That churned through my grey summer sky
Proudly shattering the dull decorous
Of my vicissitudinous life
You never stopped believing
Even when we were lost
Among the jungles of growth
You knew that a rainbow will always be there
At the end of any road
If I had one last chance
To right my wrongs
To make amends
I would like to simply say
Thank you, for everything you gave

Downtown Vancouver
Downtown, Vancouver
A gorgeous sunset view from The Renaissance hotel downtown Vancouver. A clear view of the peaceful ocean before night time! Was taken during my stay for the CAIMUN conference 2014.

The Hollyhock
Poetic Response to "The Sound of the Hollyhocks"
Do you hear the flower sing
Under a sky both far and near
The hollyhock blooms late past spring
Loyal she is, she speaks, she hears
I wish I could listen more
Together in a field crisp and new
Rather than this cold steel floor
Her days are plenty, but mine are few

Poetic Response
Trapped deep down below
There is only one way left
Please forgive me friend
Haiku summary of "Gentlemen Your Verdict?"
Heart of ice it takes
Or is it a heart of warmth?
A truly brave man

Black Ice Cream
Black vanilla ice cream that I had while in Japan ^_^ It doesn't taste too different from the normal classic vanilla ice cream, but I thought that it was really cool. The black does kind of stain though, so watch out!

Oedipus the King Play Review
Oedipus the King, a tragedy written by the man revered as the greatest tragedian of all time, Sophocles, was one of the best literature that I have ever read. The main characters of this play are Oedipus, Iocasta, Creon, and Tiresias. The play follows the story of an obdurate and hubristic king, Oedipus, who rules over the city-state of Thebes. The central plot behind this play is that you really get to see how his great fortune reversed in just one moment, which leads to his spiralling descent to complete ruin. The play of Oedipus the King contains a lot of literary tropes that may be hard to decipher, as well as some allusions to older great works of literature. I suggest the reader to carefully read over each line, as to enjoy this play to the fullest. I also highly recommend this play to those that enjoy a gloomy tragedy to read, such as "Macbeth", by Shakespeare. I would definitely reread this soon!

Hakone
One of the most beautiful mountain villages I have ever been to. Only a short bus and bullet train's ride from Tokyo. Try out their specialty, black eggs from being boiled in sulphuric water!

Akihabara
Essentially the anime heaven of Japan. Countless streets of stores selling japanese animation merchandise and electronics. Definitely check this district out if you head to Japan. :D
